Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

  • Jurnal Sains Teknologi Transportasi Maritim receives the research article or analytic study in the maritime scope that has been published yet in anywhere publication. The manuscript can be typed using the Word (doc), with Times New Roman font, font size 11 pt, using A4 paper with a top border of 3.5 cm, bottom 1 cm, left 3 cm and right 2 cm.

  • The manuscript submit to the OJS system of Jurnal Sains Teknologi Transportasi Maritim.
  • All authors in the article must be listed/typed in OJS when filling in "authors' in the article submission process.
  • The manuscript can be written in Indonesian and in english (prefered for next). Spacing between lines 1 space. The beginning of each paragraph is indented to the right about 5 beats.
  • Systematics of research articles are Title, Author Identity (Name, Affiliation, and Email), Abstract accompanied by Keywords, Introduction, Method, Results and Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgments (if any) and Bibliography
  • Article title no more than 20 words (prefered), typed in the middle (center), using Times New Roman with a font size of 14 pt, and written in bold type, and Capitalize Each Word.
  • Author Identity consist of a complete name without academic degree (if there is more than one author, then all authors' names are listed along with the institution/affiliation of homebase of each author) using Times New Roman with 11 pt font size, and written in bold type. Meanwhile, the email that includes the first author's email or only the correspondence author.
  • Abstract is written in English (for first) and Indonesian (secondly) using 1 space accompanied by 3-7 words or keyword phrases (written alphabetically), using Times New Roman with 10 pt font size. The length of the Indonesian abstract is between (prefered next) 200-250 words (the English abstract adjusts to 200 words). The abstract is written in one paragraph which contains a minimum of research objectives, methods and results.
  • The introduction at least contains the issues that underlie the research, responses to the issues, previous studies, novelty of the research, and research objectives, theoretical basis. All sections in this introduction are presented in an integrated manner in the form of paragraphs without writing subtitles.
  • The methodolgy contains research design, research procedures, samples, data sources, research instruments, data collection techniques, and data analysis technique
  • Research Results and Discussion. The results contain an explanation of the research results that have been processed by the author. The discussion contains a discussion of research results which are explained and analyzed in depth how research results have an impact and are linked to theories or other research results so that the novelty of the research results appears.
  • The conclusion contains research findings in answering research problems. Conclusions are described in paragraphs or numbered, but do not use bullets.
  • Acknowledgments (if any) contain the author's remarks to those who contributed to the article written.
  • The bibliography contains all references referred to in the text of the article which are used as citations for manuscript writing. Writing a bibliography uses the rules of the American Psychological Association (APA) v.6. The number of reference sources used as a manuscript bibliography is at least 5 titles of literature for the last ten years and it is better to use a Reference Manager such as Mendeley.
